Location: Arlington, VA
Position Description: We are looking for a motivated junior to mid-level operations research analyst or data scientist ready to go to work immediately as part of a multi-disciplinary team to help bring an automated manpower and financial forecasting decision support tool from prototype to final product. You will use your analytical and modeling skills to assist the team to update, improve, and ultimately web-enable the client’s Workforce Analysis Tool. Place of work is Arlington, VA in client office space, however, currently maximum telework is authorized using MS Teams. The analyst will be expected to work on assigned tasks independently and as part of a team. Must have strong mathematics background along with experience with using Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) and the NetLogo multi-agent programmable modeling environment, since work will involve updates and improvements to an existing Agent-Based Modeling (ABM) tool designed in NetLogo. Should have experience with large data sets, building analytic dashboards, and applying algorithms. Familiarity with Java and C++ is desired, but not required. Solid oral and written communications skills, especially around analytical concepts and methods, and ability to work in a team are critical.
** Due to the client’s aggressive project schedule, applicants must already possess a valid secret level security clearance.
